New 1st Team Coach added to Management Team at Fairford Town Football Club

Following the recent restructure to their Management team, Fairford Town FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Rich Cox as First Team Coach.

Cox completes the new managerial team of Jamie Reid, Sam Farr, and Lee Randall, having previously been manager at Tuffley Rovers. He is currently working towards his UEFA A licence and works within the Academy at Cheltenham Town

On the appointment Director of Football, Jody Bevan commented:

“I am absolutely delighted that Rich has agreed to join the football club in a coaching capacity. Having had numerous conversations with him over the last few weeks, I was really impressed with his passion, professionalism and ideas to push Fairford forwards. I am keen to give new manager Jamie Reid every tool at his disposal so that we can have a successful season and
in Rich we have a coach whose passion and expertise is on the training pitch with a real desire to improve our players I know Jamie, Sam and Lee have already had meetings with Rich to discuss plans and targets and I am really excited at the fresh energy that is being generated from them all. It bodes really well for the football club”.

New first team coach, Rich Cox, outlined his thoughts: “Firstly I want to say a big thank you to Jody Bevan and Jamie Reid for welcoming me to this fantastic and ambitious club in which I am now part of. After meeting the management team of Jamie, Sam Farr and Lee Randall, we are all on the same page in what we want to achieve, and the goals we want to work towards.
I am looking forward to working with them and bringing my worth to the group”.

Cox added: “First and foremost I see my skillset and strengths as a coach and I will do all I can to help develop the squad, the team, and individuals in order to create success on the pitch and I can’t wait to get going”.
